Data Deletion
Effective Date: September 13, 2026
Delete Your Data in the App
Signing in to FanIQ is optional; you can use the App fully without an account. To remove the data the App has stored for you, open the App and go to Settings > Delete All My Data. This works whether or not you have signed in.
Tapping it clears, immediately and on your device:
- Your chat history, cached fact sets, and Start/Sit verdicts, stored in the App's local database.
- Any connected fantasy league credentials (Sleeper ID, ESPN session cookies) from your device's encrypted Keychain, and for a connected Yahoo league, the access token stored on our server.
- Your league-configuration summary, both on your device and on our servers, once your last connected league is disconnected.
- Your Two-Minute Drill progress (Fan IQ score, level, day streak), both on your device and, on iOS, in your private iCloud backup.
- Onboarding preferences, entitlements, and scheduled local notifications stored on your device.
- Your local analytics identity, so the App starts a fresh, unlinked analytics history afterward.
- If you signed in with Apple or Google: your account on our servers, including your opaque account identifier, email address, display name, entitlements, and any Yahoo token stored against that account.
If you never signed in, "Delete All My Data" has no account to remove; it wipes everything listed above that applies to your device and, where noted, our servers.
What This Does Not Delete
If you signed in, "Delete All My Data" deletes your account along with the data on your device. If you never signed in, there was no account to delete in the first place. Either way, some things live on our servers and are not reached by this in-app action:
- Your device's push notification registration. The row identifying your device for notifications stays on our server.
- Any "take" you submitted for us to test. If you tapped "Send it to the lab" on a take, the text of that take, sent at the time, is not retracted by this action.
- Analytics and crash events already sent. Events already delivered to PostHog or Sentry before you tap Delete All My Data are not retroactively deleted by it; only your local analytics identity resets, so future events are not linked to the same history.
If your Yahoo disconnect network call fails at the moment you delete (for example, you are offline), your Yahoo grant can also survive on our server; every other step above still completes regardless.
