The 2020 2nd-round pick out of LSU was a rotational rookie, then took over as a starter in 2021 with a career-best 14 PDs — his lone Pro Bowl-adjacent statistical season.

The Titans tenure ended with 105 tackles over 3 starting years. The 2024 LAC move was a one-year rental that ended with 37 tackles and 7 PD, his most active year since 2021. 2025 in KC: a coverage-only role that's already produced 6 PD on just 11 tackles — pure cover-corner deployment.

His 14 pass defenses in 2021 are still 23% of his career total — the lone breakout year.

14 PDs in 2021 was a top-15 NFL CB number. Nothing he's done since has come close — but the 2024 (7) and 2025 (6) seasons show the PD-per-tackle ratio is climbing late even as his volume drops.

In 2025 his PD-to-tackle ratio is 0.55 — the league's most lockdown-shaped line for a CB this year.

A PD-to-tackle ratio over 0.5 is rare and skews toward true shutdown corners (Sauce Gardner, Pat Surtain). Fulton's 2025 line — 6 PD on 11 tackles — is functionally a cover-only role: when teams test him, he breaks up the pass; when they don't, he doesn't have to tackle. That's the Spagnuolo defense's reward for trust.

Three different teams in three years. KC counted on the 2024 PD recovery curve.

Rare

Fulton played his entire 2020–2023 stretch in Tennessee (4 years, one team). The 2024 LAC and 2025 KC seasons are the only one-year stops of his career, and both produced quality coverage tape: 7 PD then 6 PD in single-year stints.

The KC call is that a veteran cover-corner who's never been a 100-tackle guy can hold up in playoff windows — exactly the shape of a Reid/Spagnuolo trade.

Career 38 PDs in 6 seasons — comfortably in the middle of the 2020 CB draft class.

2020 draft-class CB peers — career PD

PlayerDraft PickCareer PD

Damon Arnette1.195
Noah Igbinoghene1.30~12
A.J. Terrell1.16~62
Trevon Diggs2.51~58
Kristian Fulton2.6138

Fulton's 2.61 pick has aged better than every Day-1 CB taken in 2020 except A.J. Terrell. His 38 career PDs clears 4 of the 5 first-rounders in that class, while only Diggs (58) and Terrell (62) lead the cohort.

The story of his 2020 class is: first-round CBs busted; the 2nd-round picks (Diggs, Fulton) returned the value.

Titans era: 14 starts at peak, 105 tackles. Post-TEN era: 48 tackles, 13 PDs — coverage-only role.

His Titans-era tackle pace (~26/year) was that of a typical outside corner. The LAC/KC era has cut the tackle volume nearly in half but kept the PD rate per game roughly the same — the modern Cover-3 corner job description, in numbers.
