Drafted in the 3rd round (71st overall) by Denver in 2019, Jones spent four years building a starter resume in the Broncos' front, then landed a 3-year, $51M deal with Seattle in 2023. Two years later he was on Tennessee, then traded mid-2025 to Baltimore after Week 9.

The through-line: even as the team logo changed, the QB-hit number kept growing — 6 → 11 → 11 → 10 → 12 → 13 → 24 combined in 2025. The sack column undersells him.

After a slow start in Tennessee, Jones was traded to Baltimore at the deadline and unlocked something: 15 QB hits in 9 BAL games — a per-game pace of 1.67, easily the best of his career. His prior season-high was 13 hits in all of 2024.

The full-season total of 24 QB hits is a top-10 mark among interior defensive linemen in 2025. The sacks (7.0) didn't catch up to the pressure rate — that's typically a leading indicator that more sacks are coming.

37.5 career sacks, 87 QB hits, 47 TFL — top-25 among active interior DL in pressure share.

Milestone

Through 7 NFL seasons, Jones has piled up 37.5 sacks, 87 QB hits, and 47 TFL as a true interior defensive lineman (he came up at 6'3", 280-ish). Interior defenders rarely cross 35 career sacks before their 30th birthday — Jones did it by age 28.

Notably, 87 of those came in a position where most coaches measure success in disruption pressures, not sacks. The hit count puts him in the company of guys like Chris Jones and DeForest Buckner in raw per-season disruption rate during his peak years.

Among 2019 draftees still active in 2025, his 37.5 career sacks rank top-10 for interior DL.

Comparison

The 2019 draft class produced some big names (Quinnen Williams, Christian Wilkins, Ed Oliver). Jones, taken 71st overall, has outproduced multiple first-round interior DL from his class by career sack count and now-in-his-prime pressure rate.

With 2.5 sacks and 15 QB hits in just half a season with the Ravens, his late-2025 stretch looks like the start of his most efficient pass-rush year yet. The Ravens' scheme historically inflates DL pressure numbers — and Jones is benefiting.

Mid-season trade in Year 7 — and he's getting 1.67 QB hits per game with BAL.

Split

Mid-season trades for veteran DL almost never work like this. Jones was acquired by Baltimore after Tennessee's 2-7 start, and from Week 10 onward his per-game pressure rate was 1.67 QB hits per game — about 30% above his career average (~1.1 hits/game).

The Ravens' defensive front (with Madubuike, Van Noy, Oweh) gave him 1-on-1 looks his Tennessee snaps didn't. The result: a contract year ending with the best pressure rate of his career, going into 2026 free agency.
