An undrafted FA out of Wake Forest in 2019, Dortch was cut by the Jets and Panthers before sticking with Arizona's practice squad in late 2020 (the gap year explains why he has no 2020 stats). He's been on the active roster every year since 2022 — 68 career games, all but 2 of them in Arizona.
2022 breakout: 52-467-2 with three 9+ catch games as Kyler Murray's safety valve.

After 3 catches across his first 2 active NFL seasons (0 in 2019, 3 in 2021), Dortch went 52-467-2 in 2022 — including a 9-103 game vs San Francisco (Wk 11), a 10-98 game vs Tampa Bay (Wk 16), and a 9-80 game vs the Rams (Wk 3). Those three were his only 9+ reception games of the season; in fact, they're still the only 9+ reception games of his career.
The breakout games came in completely different game scripts — 38-10 blowout loss to SF, 19-16 OT loss to TB. The constant: when defenses bracketed DeAndre Hopkins and Marquise Brown, Dortch ran the in-breaker.
Career catch rate: 76.0% — best on Arizona's WR room every year he's played.
SplitAcross 68 career games, Dortch has caught 145 of 191 targets (76.0%) for 1,310 yards. That catch rate is remarkable for a player whose average depth-of-target sits in the 6-8 yard range — he's a slot/screen specialist, not a deep threat.
For reference: Christian Kirk (similar usage) sits at ~70% career catch rate. Tyreek Hill is at ~68%. Dortch's sure-handedness is the resume-line that's kept him employed.
3 receiving TDs in 12 games of 2025 — already a career-high TD rate.
ComparisonIn 2025, Dortch caught 29 of 33 targets (87.9%, easily a career high) for 206 yards and 3 TDs in 12 games. His TD rate of 10.3% of receptions is more than double his career average (6.9% — 10 TDs on 145 career catches).
Volume dropped — 33 targets vs 50 in 2024 — but every TD came after Week 5 (Wk 6 vs IND, Wk 11 vs SF, Wk 12 vs JAX), suggesting a tighter red-zone role in the back half before he landed on the reserve list.
5'7", 173 lbs — one of the 10 smallest active NFL WRs.
RareDortch is officially listed at 5-foot-7, 173 lbs — tied for the shortest receiver listing in the league outside of historical outliers like Trindon Holliday. The pure-slot players who match his height (DaeSean Hamilton, Olamide Zaccheaus, etc.) tend to have shorter careers; Dortch has now stuck on an NFL roster every year since 2022, which is the outlier for his size profile.
He's been used as a punt returner in spots through his career — the secondary skill that helps keep him on the gameday-active list.
12 games into 2025, Dortch's 87.9% catch rate is the highest of his career — on his lowest volume since 2021.
AnomalyDortch now sits on Arizona's reserve list (RES) after appearing in 12 games. The unusual line in his 2025 sample: 29 receptions on just 33 targets (87.9%) — by far the highest catch rate of his career, on his lowest target volume since 2021 (when he had 3).
Every other Dortch season landed in the 58-76% catch-rate band on 41-64 targets. 2025 is the first time both TD rate (10.3%) and catch rate (87.9%) sit at career peaks simultaneously — pulled off in fewer games than any other full active season.
