A 2nd-round Browns pick in 2016 out of Oklahoma State, Ogbah has logged 10 NFL seasons for 4 different franchises: Cleveland (2016-18), Kansas City (2019), Miami (2020-24), Jacksonville (2025).
The ring is on his hand: he was on the Chiefs' Super Bowl LIV roster in 2019. But the real career peak came in Miami — back-to-back 9.0-sack seasons in 2020 and 2021.

2021 was the masterpiece: 9 sacks, 24 QB hits, 12 pass deflections — a DL with batted-ball range.
MilestoneOgbah's 2021 Miami season is one of the more unique single-season lines of any modern edge: 9.0 sacks, 24 QB hits, AND 12 pass deflections.
That 12-PD count led the entire Dolphins defense that year and is a top-3 PD season for any edge/DL in the league since 2020. At 6-foot-4 with a 35-inch arm, he turned batted passes into a legitimate weapon. Combined with 9.0 sacks, that's a DPOY-tier secondary statistic.
43 career pass deflections from the DL — elite for a defensive lineman.

43 career pass deflections from a DL is exceptional. Most career edge rushers finish in the 10-20 range. Ogbah is roughly double a typical career total — a function of his arm length, hand placement, and willingness to drop into rush lanes rather than always pursue the QB.
The 8 PDs in 2018 (Cleveland) were notable in a season he had just 3 sacks — when the QB throw didn't get to the WR, it was because Ogbah got his hand on it.
2022 collapse: torn triceps in Week 7 limited him to 4 tackles and 1 sack — career floor.
AnomalyAfter two 9-sack seasons in a row, Ogbah's 2022 line was 4 tackles, 1.0 sack, 7 QB hits, 0 PD — the lowest output of any healthy season in his career. He tore his triceps in Week 7 and went on IR.
He came back to post 5.0 sacks in 2023 and 5.0 again in 2024, but never re-hit the 9-sack peak. The 2025 move to Jacksonville has been quieter still — 0.5 sacks in his Week-18 line suggests an end-of-career rotational role.
Miami era (2020-24) carried the career: 29 of his 47.5 sacks, 70 of 115 QB hits.
SplitOgbah by franchise
| Team | Years | Sacks | QB Hits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Browns (2016-18) | 3 | 12.5 | 29 |
| Chiefs (2019) | 1 | 5.5 | 11 |
| Dolphins (2020-24) | 5 | 29.0 | 71 |
| Jaguars (2025) | 1 | 0.5 | 4 |
Miami got Ogbah's prime: 29 sacks and 71 QB hits across 5 seasons, more than 60% of his career production in roughly half his career years. The $60M deal he signed with Miami in 2022 is paid out — and the back half of it overlapped with the triceps injury and a slower-paced role.
The Chiefs year (2019) was the highest sack-rate season of his career on a per-game basis: 5.5 sacks in a Super Bowl run.
